Where in Spain is the Costa Blanca?

The Costa Blanca is the coastal region from Oliva in the north, until Pilar de la Horadada in the south. It’s on of the best regions of Spain to stay; not to hot and never to cold.

What is Costa Blanca known for?

The Costa Blanca is known for its wonderful weather all-year round, the beaches and the pittoresk towns. Well, and the food and the wine maybe… You want to know more? Low crime, feeling safe, nice people, not overly expensive, good amenities, easily accessible by air and by car and it never gets boring (you know the saying… only boring people get bored… but that’s almost impossible on the Costa Blanca).

What are the best cities to stay?

You like the beach and the bigger towns? Perfect places on the Costa Blanca are Torrevieja, Santa Pola, Alicante, Benidorm, Calpe.

You like the beach and smaller towns? Perfect places on the Costa Blanca are Pilar de la Horadada, El Campello, la Vila Joyosa, L’alfaz del Pi, Altea, Moraira, Javea, Denia, Els Poblets and Oliva.

Don’t forget the inland of the Costa Blanca… Rojales, Benijofar, Elche, Pinoso, Alcoi, Finestrat, La Nucia, Benissa, Xalo, Orba, Pego, Benidoleig, Beniarbeig, Pedregeur and Teulada are all nice towns.

Which is the nicest beach?

That’s a hard one. For a family with small children the Calpe, Javea and Benidorm beaches are unbeatable. With bigger kids Altea, Alicante, Valencia, Denia are perfect. For a loving couple Benissa, Moraira, Els Poblets, Oliva are good. But to be honest, this region is one endless stretch of beautiful beaches… and its well worth exploring them all.

What to do on the costa on a sunny day?

Lots of people like the Costa Blanca because of the weather. If you ask my daughter it wil be visiting markets, shopping, lying on the beach… and repeat. We personally like to go out while it’s still cool, have a coffee and some breakfast, have a walk with the dogs. The rest of the day we relax, cook or work a little, until the evening sets and we start enjoying the evening.
